Online Akashic Records Reading: How It Works in Australia
Book a free 15-minute callWhatsApp
An online Akashic Records reading works the same way as one in person: your reader opens your Records with your permission, listens to your questions and shares the guidance that comes through, while you talk it through together by video call. The Records are not tied to a place, so being in Perth, Hobart or a small town in the Mallee makes no difference to the depth of the reading. What matters is a quiet space, a steady connection and questions you genuinely care about.
Most of our readings are online. This guide explains what actually happens, what you need, how time zones work across Australia, and how to make an online reading feel just as personal as sitting across a table.
Why distance does not matter in the Akashic Records
The Akashic Records are often described as an energetic record of every soul's journey: thoughts, choices, relationships and lessons across time. If you are new to the idea, our guide to understanding the Akashic Records is a good starting point.
Because the Records are understood as non-physical, a reader does not need to be in the same room to access them. What they need is your permission, your name as you use it now, and a clear intention. This is why people who have had both kinds of reading often say they cannot tell the difference, and some prefer online because they feel more relaxed at home.
There is also a practical side. In person, you may spend the first ten minutes settling into an unfamiliar room. At home, you are already settled, with your own cup of tea and your notebook within reach.
What happens in an online reading, step by step
Every reader works a little differently. Here is how a reading with us usually flows.
Before the session
You book a time through our booking page, which shows times in your own time zone. You receive a confirmation with the video link. We suggest you jot down three to five questions in the days before. Our list of questions to ask in an Akashic Records reading can help you shape them.
The first few minutes
We say hello, check the sound and video, and talk briefly about what has brought you here. There is no test and nothing you need to prove. If you feel nervous, that is normal and it usually fades quickly.
Opening the Records
Your reader opens your Records with a sacred prayer, with your permission. You do not need to do anything during this part except breathe and settle. Some people notice a sense of calm or warmth. Others notice nothing in particular, and the reading is just as useful.
Your questions
You ask your first question and the reader shares what comes through. You can ask follow-ups, ask for an example, or say "that does not fit" if something does not land. A reading is a conversation, not a lecture.
Closing and practical steps
Before the Records are closed, we bring the guidance back to everyday life: what you might try this week, what to notice, what to let go of. You pay after the session, once you have experienced it.
What you need for an online reading
You do not need special equipment. A simple setup works well.
- A device with a camera and microphone. A laptop or tablet is easiest. A phone works too if you prop it up.
- A steady internet connection. If your connection is patchy, sit close to your modem or use headphones to reduce echo.
- A quiet, private space. Somewhere you will not be interrupted for the full session. Let the household know, put the dog outside, and silence notifications.
- Something to write with. Many people remember less than they expect after a reading, so notes help.
- A glass of water. Readings can be more emotional than people expect.
If the call drops, simply rejoin with the same link. The Records stay open for your session and nothing is lost.
Time zones across Australia
Australia has several time zones, and daylight saving makes it trickier from October to April. Victoria, New South Wales, the ACT, Tasmania and South Australia move their clocks forward in summer. Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia do not.
In practice this means a 7 pm Melbourne booking in January is 6 pm in Brisbane, 6.30 pm in Adelaide and 4 pm in Perth. You do not need to work this out yourself: the booking page shows times in your own time zone based on your device. If you are travelling, check that your device shows the right local time before you book.
People in Western Australia often find early evening Melbourne times work well, as they fall in the afternoon in Perth. People in New Zealand or Asia can book too, as long as the time suits both sides.
Online or in person in Melbourne?
We offer in-person readings by appointment in Melbourne's south east. Here is how to choose.
| Online reading | In person in Melbourne | |
|---|---|---|
| Where | Your own home, anywhere | By appointment in Melbourne's south east |
| Depth | The same | The same |
| Travel | None | Allow time for the drive and parking |
| Comfort | Many people feel more relaxed at home | Some people like a separate, dedicated space |
| Notes | Easy to type or write as you go | Bring a notebook |
There is no wrong choice. If you are unsure, start with a free 15-minute discovery call and see how online feels for you.
Tips to make an online reading feel personal
- Join a few minutes early so you are not rushing in from another call.
- Use headphones. They make the reader's voice feel close and keep the conversation private.
- Turn off self view if seeing your own face distracts you.
- Have your questions written down but stay open to where the reading goes.
- Give yourself 20 minutes afterwards. Do not jump straight into a meeting or the school pick-up. Our guide on what to do after an Akashic Records reading has ideas.
Can I record an online reading?
Many readers allow you to record the session, or offer a recording. If a recording matters to you, ask before you book. Even with a recording, we suggest writing a few key words during the session, because the act of writing helps the guidance sink in.
Who an online reading suits
An online reading suits most people, including:
- people in regional and remote areas who would otherwise travel hours for a reading
- parents who need to fit a session around children
- people who feel more open and relaxed in their own space
- people with mobility needs or who prefer not to drive
- Australians living overseas who want an Australian-based reader
A reading is for spiritual insight and personal growth. If you are going through a mental health crisis, please reach out to your GP, a psychologist, or Lifeline on 13 11 14 first. A reading can sit alongside professional support but does not replace it.
Frequently asked questions
Is an online Akashic Records reading as accurate as in person?
Yes. The Records are understood to be non-physical, so the reader does not need to be in the same room as you. Many people find online readings just as clear, and often more relaxed, because they are at home.
What platform do you use for online readings?
We use a standard video call link that opens in your browser or app. You receive it in your booking confirmation. You do not need to create an account.
Can I have a reading by phone instead of video?
Usually yes. If video is hard for you, mention it when you book or on your discovery call and we will work out what suits.
What if my internet drops out during the reading?
Rejoin with the same link. Nothing is lost, and the reading carries on from where you were.
Can I have an online reading if I live outside Melbourne?
Yes. Most of our clients join from other parts of Victoria, other states or overseas. Clients join from Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart and Darwin as easily as from Melbourne.
Do I need to do anything during the opening prayer?
No. Just sit comfortably and breathe. Your reader does the opening with your permission.
